A world premiere and a diverse programme of drama make up Coastival's theatre and performance line-up next month. Coastival takes place at various venues in Scarborough from 22nd to 24th February.
Organisers are delighted that acclaimed performer Belle Jones has chosen Coastival for the premiere of High Land.
Focusing on how what human beings are capable of under extreme pressure, High Land will be performed at Woodend Gallery on Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd February, at 8pm.
New for 2019! Reward your dog with their best day out ever at Dogstival, an exciting new, boutique-style festival taking place 18th and 19th May 2019 in doggy paradise, the New Forest. Set in the stunning surroundings of the Pylewell Park Estate, Dogstival will be hosted by Chris Packham - local resident, TV presenter, renowned dog lover and recent recipient of a CBE in the 2019 Honour List - and promises all the ingredients for a fabulous day out for you and your four-legged family member.
Music lovers are in for a treat during this year's Coastival festival in Scarborough with soul funk band Smoove & Turrell and jazz musician Dennis Rollins with the Mark Gordon Trio, to appear.
Organisers have lined up a full and varied programme of live music and DJ sets when the festival is held from 22nd to 24th February.
Headline act will be Smoove & Turrell, the popular Newcastle soul and funk band who will top the bill at an evening of music onCoastival Saturday at Scarborough Spa's Ocean Room from 7pm.
Exploration, navigation and discovery are the key themes for 2019 at Penshurst Place and Gardens, with a busy calendar of activity running from February through to the end of the year.
Join the great explorers on an enjoyable and educational journey around the world, with a packed line-up of entertaining days out for all the family. Just watch out for pirates and sea monsters along the way!
Europe’s first ever pop-up Shakespearean Theatre – SHAKESPEARE’S ROSE THEATRE – sets down for a summer residency at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire from 8 July – 7 September 2019, following its inaugural and hugely successful season in York in 2018.
