Exploding into 2019 - Wookey Hole Caves are better than ever! 

With the first half term break of the year just around the corner the top Somerset tourist attraction is gearing up to welcome families to an experience like no other. 

Featuring more than 20 indoor and outdoor attractions at one scenic site set amongst the Mendip Hills, Wookey Hole Caves remains a favourite with families looking for a value for money day out over the holidays. 

This February half term, new research reveals that one in six (16%)1 parents are planning a family staycation, whilst just over a third (34%)2 will stay put at home.

That means families up and down the UK will be looking for fun activities to fill the half term break – which not only can be an extra-added stress for busy mums and dads, but also can be costly.

Create your own floral-themed designs at family drop-in tile decorating workshops during the Easter school holidays at Jackfield Tile Museum. These are part of the Ironbridge Gorge Museum’s spring activities that are taking place across The Gorge over the Easter break.

Enjoy a skippered sail in a beautiful 1930s sailing yacht on the Norfolk Broads this season.  Here at Hunter’s Yard we not only offer boats for hire to sailors, but we can provide non-sailors with a wonderful experience on the Broads too.  Up to four people can enjoy a skippered sail starting at £79 for a 2 hour sail (that’s for the boat, not per person) where you can either sit back and let the Skipper take the helm, or you can help out as much or as little as you like.  Your skipper will gladly ‘teach you the ropes’ if you’re keen to learn.  Longer sails are available too.
